Bikes: The kind with two wheels

I believe that 'feeling' you had is totally common my friend. The trick is not to let it get to you. I have written threads here before about this very thing. It all melts away so quickly. That no-brainer 25 miles that you used to crank out without thinking about it suddenly becomes a chore after a couple of weeks away.

You feel too much. Your back, your neck, your legs...nothing seems in sync.

But the fact is, there is little you can do about it if you live in a winter climate. I have now taken to simply seeing this as a time to let the mind and body rest a bit from a long season of riding. Keep things moving by riding on a trainer several times a week, but don't kill yourself on it. Spring shall spring and it will be like starting all over again...and that's a good thing.

Remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder!
