Points taken - I'm getting to like this type of job so will be looking out for oxy-propane. I've realised that I too already have a huge propane bottle & regulator for our barbecue so if I look out for an oxygen bottle & regulator, hoses and torch I may be lucky in putting together an outfit quite cheaply. I'll talk to some of the ship repairers in the docks where I work to see if they know of any good used/surplus sources. Over here in the UK at present there's unlikely to be too much regulation at least in the area I live, but sensible precautions are naturally necessary at all times, better to be safe than (stupid!).
