Rest days are mentally harder for me than any other part of the training cycle. I'd honestly rather do intervals till I barf than the rest days. Alas, we all know (or should know) how vital they are to increasing performance, but I still find them depressing.
Still, I always try to do something on my rest days, no matter how small, to improve my riding. Today, for instance, I will do the annual first-of-the-year battery replacements in all of the electronics.
Any personal tips for dealing with the necessary evil of rest days?
