Looks like early to Mid-1970s. Given the quality of the bike I suggest you go back to the shop and ask if they still have the original saddle. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an Ideale or unicanitor or some such highly coveted vintage saddle. In all fairness many shops may not be aware of the value of such items and simply resign them to the garbage pail assuming they are inferior to modern products.
