But the best idea is to take your frame into a dealer that sells DuPont paints and they should have several Imron chip books to browse; supposedly some dealers can just scan the finish paint you have and come up with a near-identical match which you should then be able to cross over to an Imron finish.
My local painter has just finished spraying the base Imron Pewter Gray Metallic on a Trek 500 and the decals from forum member JRRestore are in the mail, so by this time next week the decals and final clearcoat should be installed and I'll be able to share some pictures as well.

Actually, Joe Bell is doing the job. He says the Trek 'Race Blue' is
pearlescent, and
not one of the colors on the Imron chart. To make 'Race Blue' he'll have to mix one of the Imron blues with a pearlescent color.
I'm just checking to see if anyone knows if, in fact, that's what Trek did. In other words, were some of the Trek colors - like 'Race Blue' -
mixed from more than one color at the Trek factory, or can any Trek color be found on one of the squares on that Imron color sample chart?
