Actually, Joe Bell is doing the job. He says the Trek 'Race Blue' is pearlescent, and not one of the colors on the Imron chart. To make 'Race Blue' he'll have to mix one of the Imron blues with a pearlescent color.
I'm just checking to see if anyone knows if, in fact, that's what Trek did. In other words, were some of the Trek colors - like 'Race Blue' - mixed from more than one color at the Trek factory, or can any Trek color be found on one of the squares on that Imron color sample chart?

That's a good question about whether the paints were 'mixed' at the Trek factory; I wouldn't be surprised to find out that stock Imron colors had 'pearlescence' or additional metal flake added in set proportions in the factory.
