I guess it depends on where you position the saddle. Mine had to be kind of far back and that caused a lot of creaking. No defect, just annoying enough to make me return it and buy the Ritchey. Riding is my zen, and annoying noises ruin that

I couldn't find the specs on PBK, but the pic looks like it might be a setback. The Thomson one offers setback, but it's not a lot. The Ritchey and Forte ones are setback. Hope that helps.

edit: +1 for Kalloy. I had forgotten about them, but had one on both my road bike and mountainbike in the 90's and they were very sturdy.
