I saw a picture of it. Can anyone explain why there is a cutout in the bottom bracket shell? If I'm using the wrong terminology, I mean the part of the bike's tubing in which the bottom bracket is placed. Wouldn't the cutout allow grime to get into the area with the spindle, and then damage it?
