Will a newer 8 speed derailleur work on my old 6 speed shimano equipped mountain bike ? Will it index properly if I just adjust the limit adjustment screws, and will the 6 speed chain fit on the derailleur cogs ? I can't find a 6 speed derailleur anywhere. Thanks in advance for any help.
