I'm thinking about having a new front wheel built for my 07 Kona Jake for a couple reasons.

1. hub generator

2. brakes suck - could I do generator hub AND make it a disc brake on the front?

You hear a lot of people complain about the brakes on this bike but I didn't realize really how bad they were until I had the chance to ride on a Bianchi Volpe. Wow those brakes really stopped you.

What has anyone else done to fix these brakes?
