Interesting commute home last night. We were experiencing some very nasty thunderstorms in the Chicago area -- some severe in areas and others not as severe. The rain was coming in five minute bursts with occasional "sun showers". I put off the ride home for 45 minutes and then took my chance on the twelve mile commute home. My coworkers were all telling me they would give me a ride home. I am glad I said "No"! The ride was great. Usually I ride home into a headwind. The storm had turned it around and I had a tailwind. There was light rain that felt wonderful. I said hello to my next door neighbor in her car at a stoplight, then caught her a mile later at another stoplight. She couldn't believe it.
The only down to the ride was a rear flat, but even that was fun.
A good commute home.
