Here's the deal.

About a month ago, I had an issue with my headlight. One of the wires pulled loose, and I was left headlight-less.

Luckily I had this other light with me the whole time, and just didn't realize it until my Alias broke.

I rode the final 7 miles home using nothing but my Perigee Moon.....a great name for a bike light for all you marketeering people out there...now that I know what a perigee moon is.

I read about the phonemenon tonight on scientific american's webiste.

After reading the article I concluded that it must have been what saved my tush.

It was a very nice ride home throught agricultural land, so I wasn't riding by light pollution by any means. It worked great. Try it if you ever get the chance. It's only drawback is that it only works on clear nights. It's cloudy here tonight, so no midnight ride for me.
