OP, you can see there are a bunch of cannondale fanboys here... Truthfully riding road isn't even worthwhile unless you can spend >$2500 on a bike. Maybe look for a used bike that retailed for more than $2500, a Specialized Roubaix or Tarmac are the best choices, followed by Trek Madones. These bikes win all the races, and even professional teams sponsored by other companies just buy Specialized or Trek and rebrand them.
