While I havent had a Bell hitch rack I have had nasty experience with the trunk racks. I had a 3 bike one mounted on my tercel almost as a fixture, and one day I hit a bump(as happens in that area) and the wieht of my one mtb (28 lbs) bent it. I stopped fast enough that it only brushed a tire on the road, but that was enough to make me look elswhere.
I got a Hollywood and there is no comparison. THe friends that have hitches say the same thing. I have a truck now so racks are kinda frivolous, but still there's some times I still use one on a freind's car.
