It was my understanding that the riser-tube cannot be extracted from the assembly of the 2008 model. If it could be extracted, it would make better sense to reuse it, than shop for a new custom-length alloy tube. But the OP could choose almost any stem, adjustable or fixed, that fits the 1" O.D. of the riser tube and his handlebars.
