The Profile Design look like what I'm looking for and the Pic with the Lizard Grips seems nearly perfect. Maybe it could be sprayed/painted with tent water-proofing to handle the sponge issue? Not a problem here, where the average annual rainfall is under 7" (We tied with Lost Wages as the driest city in the Country).

The price seems right. How is the "flex" thing working for you? Do they seem solid enough? I don't ride aggressively, but I also weigh in at 15.7 stone (about 220 lbs.) and tend to bend and break things that I lean on...
