Nope, don't want to start any arguments. Sounds like one of these so prevalent new diagnoses looking for patients! Lots of them around! Sorry, just saying that if I had that diagnosis made on me, I'd keep on looking and getting some second or third opinions. I'd be a bit concerned, given the circumstances and person afflicted that something important could be overlooked. Happens.......fairly frequently, too. Believe it!
Even had a similar thing and "new" diagnosis made to me, (I and a half dozen other physicians had never heard of it!) and it turned out to be something totally different after fooling around with a huge long laundry list of treatments for 6 months, from physiotherapy, accupuncture, chiropractic manipulation, NSAID's, internet advice, massage therapy, YOGA, sports med physio, etc. Finally after an appropriate diagnosis and treatment I was fine, and its now about bike miles 15,000 miles later!
Just saying don't be afraid to question. If it doesn't go away with prescribed therapy , keep looking. I've seen blind alleys followed many many times over the years, and have seen many "new" diseases and diagnoses come and go. Conditions that were never heard of all of a sudden being common and stylish even, then a few years later people ask "remember when we thought that nonsense???"
Sorry if I waas a little sarcastic and maybe shot a bit from the hip, but sometimes you have to warn or caution people that occasionally a spade is a shovel!
No more from me on this...........I just like and admire Denver so just saying that if it doesn't go away keep looking. Also, if it does go away, it also doesn't necessarily do that because of treatment. We often take credit for stuff that runs its course and goes away on its own, often not because of, but in spite of treatment! Hah!
