A couple years ago I pulled an abondoned MTB from a dumpster with the intention of using it to pull my clam style shanty on lakes that prohibit gas powered quads. I purchased studded tires for it and thought thru the tow hitch/attachment. The first time out, was on the pond in my back yard, and it was also the last time. The tires would fill up with snow and the studs would only scrape the ice allowing me to fall over. Even after I got the rig moving the bike would suddenly kick out causing me to fall over. It was nearly the same experiance as my learning to ride the rollers. Incidently, it is hard to pedal a bike while wearing the felt pack boots needed to stay out on the ice all day.
It was a lot of fun just riding the bike on the lake and not pulling anything. I didn't fall any less, I just fell in a more predictable manner.
