They're a bit heavy, but perfectly functional, and cheap. Also the shoes that go with them you can walk in due to the recessed cleat.

Essentially the same pedal as the shimano version, maybe not quite the same quality but a lot cheaper.

I put the Shimano pedals on my daughter's bike. She used it to ride around the neighborhood, as well as to train and race. The pedals were not the limiting factor to her racing career, and she could ride to her friend's house or the pool etc, in tennis shoes.
