DannoXYZ offers very sound advice on here. I am always happy when I see his name in thread.
Sheldon was special in a couple of different important ways:
-He knew a lot
-He presented things very clearly
-He was funny!
and, I think his most notable trait on these boards:
-He seemed very open and frank about different ways of handling things. In contrast, many experts can tell you what they think is the best solution to a given problem. But Sheldon could do that, and then mention several more. And then, talk about the various virtues and vices of each approach. Giving this last type of information allows the advisee to think through which approach will apply to their particular situation. It takes expertise, patience, and a certain amount of humility to give advice in this way.
