Hello fellow bike aficionados, because this is my first post and because it seems fit for the question at hand, I'll start off by introducing myself.
I'm 18 years old, a decent wrench, in great shape, love speed-especially that satisfaction you get when going 40+mph on a bicycle(even though I ride a motorcycle that can outrun a lambo).
I don't know how to put this but.....I jumped the gun and purchased a bike from BD(the hated/loved).

The Fantom Cross Team Ti -

Their customer service was less than helpful, that's all I'll say. e.g. I asked them three questions, they answered one, half-assed I might add.
I ordered it yesterday, being a friday, so I believe there is some time to change my mind during the weekend or whatnot.
Okay, well here's the good stuff.
The reason I'm buying such an expensive bike, is because I believe it's a good investment for the years to come. My grandparents decided to give me $1.5k as a present for getting through high school to buy something(not save up) and so I figured "what's better than a bike- I mean I've always wanted one".
I plan on riding mostly on the road. (anywhere else, I haven't decided yet) Btw, I'm located in Los Angeles.
My reasoning for the Cross is that titanium lasts and can be abused, opposed to CF, which is a weaker substance(correct me if I'm wrong).
To the questions.
1) Can the rims on the Cross support 25mm tires-road tires? (I believe that these are the one's used:

2) What other components must be change to make it an adept road bike?
Any other suggestions will be most helpful.
Sorry for the
loooong post.
Thanks for reading!
