- 50/34 Compact crankset (Shimano R600 at the moment)
- Harris Cyclery "Century Special" 9sp cassette (13-30)

I'm not anti-10 speed, but after a lot of looking there's none that offer gear ratios I like as much as the custom 9 speed cassette.
