That's why I don't mess around with crap like set-back seatposts and short stems. With my forward seatpost and long ass stem I'm approximating the geometry of your tri bike......and yeah I agree it's faster than this upright touring position crap.
To borrow a cliche (supposedly said by old pros in regards to seat position for better climbing).....setback seat, low saddle, low gears.
I say screw that......forward seat, high saddle, high gears!!!!
