But no one said that. He said he didn't need bike mechanics. Maybe he doesn't. I'd be willing to bet that even if he ever did, he wouldn't find one eager to help him.
Even without bike mechanics, there would still be salespeople. I'm just not making the connection between him saying he doesn't need bike mechanics and you saying that someone said that only people who don't work on their bikes go to an LBS.
