you could do something simple, like a drill that my team had us working on in december, where you go out with 4-5, whatever guys, and the guy on front jumps, rides hard for a short intensive burst (while every one maintains pace).
then the next guy on front does the same. everyone does this until the group is reformed, rest, then repeat.

Sounds good though. My training partners may like this.
