Help, someone-anyone,
I need information for vintage bike serial numbers. I have an Olmo and several pre 60's Hetchins that I would like to date. The Olmo is similar to some older Fiorelli Coppi's and a 40's Bartali. Is it that Schwinn and Raleigh were stamped out using manufacturing guidelines and the less common bikes were made in workshops behind peoples houses, which meant less identifying frames, like the early Colnago's and Carlton's. I would be more than happy to help research this, but where to start is beyond me. We better get started in digging these numbers and their origins out, because more and more of these old time builders are getting older and these numbers and what they mean are slipping deeper into the woodwork. If I could be of any help, someone please help guide me and I will help. Thank you. Email:
