No, it's easy if you remember-- but forgetting is even easier!

The IGH definitely lets you get out of the habit, but there's more to it than that. With the IGH there's one shifter, no duplication of gears, no small-small or large-large combinations to avoid, and so on. I never found derailleurs difficult, or challenging in any way; I used to love them. But now that I've gotten used to IGH's, it's really hard to go back and forth.
