I'll let you guys into a secret - I don't know if I told any of you how I have been walking across Spain on the Camino de Santiago... It's an ancient pilgrimage route across the north of Spain. That's actually only a part of the route, some people walk from Paris to Santiago de Compostella which is just near Finisterre. For them its a 900 mile walk.

Anyhow - I've walked from France to Burgos in a couple of stints and I am going to go again in April maybe. I was just thinking of taking my slo with me. I know I couldn't ride it all the way. The route is up and down and a 56 inch gear is no good for rough ground, but the damned thing does push so brilliantly, I was wondering about using it to carry some of my stuff and push and ride it where appropriate.

Photos & a bit of rubbish video I took last April when I went walkabout along the route.

There were a lot of times I wished I'd had a little bike with me, one I could put in the hold of a bus to make the journey from Barcelona to Pamplona for example and then just drag it out and ride off. I think the strida would be an asset on my next section from Burgos to Ponferrada. I can ride it or push it with my gear onboard. Either way it will be easier than walking and carrying everything on my back.
