With Shimano SPD-SL's it's basically the same. Harder to clip in, easier to accidentally clip out. I also noticed the floated a lot more. But mine were worn really bad.

I actually accidently clipped out mashing at a green light nearly falling over. My boys weren't happy when they met the top tube. Ouch...
