Depends on where you are from and what kind of weather you are used to. I live and work nearby, and a leisurely ride at this time of year is always refreshing, but only if you are accustomed to colder weather.

As for the snow, the roads are usually snowy or slushy for a day or two after a storm (depending on the storm). We got a few inches yesterday, for example. Downtown roads and sidewalks are already clear enough for safe riding, but that isn't always the case.

Just keep your eye on the weather reports. If there hasn't been snow for a week or so, and you have some good mittens, glove, and a scarf, a stroll through town can be quite pleasant.
