Finally! A little bit of snow. I can now justify my heavy, slow-rolling, but deeply treaded and puncture resistant touring tires that have taken 4 mph off of my average speed and have daily broken my spirit :-) The snow was starting to stick in patches along the trail and was merely a dusting, crackling under my tires and throwing up granular bits of (I guess) salt in front of my headlight. I saw tracks from 3 other riders, passed another on a single speed, and two joggers. I'm hoping that we get more rather than less, I love riding in fresh, powdery snow. Tomorrow morning is supposed to bring freezing rain. On top of the re-freeze, that may be treacherous without studs. Can't wait for the ride home.
