Those old-school Nalini chamois rip me to shreds with a seam right up the center. Otherwise I like Nalini's stuff - it was my team kit up until this season.
The seam certainly looks big and you wonder at first about it being in the middle but in use I don't feel the seam at all and thankfully it isn't a seam under your sitbones where it would be painful.
The Nalini chamois IS a synthetic chamois as opposed to modern pads which aren't chamois's at all even though we still call them that.
