I was just looking at my mileage totals for January -- if I commute Thursday and Friday, I'll have 600 miles of bike riding done in January. About half of that mileage is commuting - 14 round-trip commutes from the Eastside to downtown Seattle.
It's very easy to bike year-round here if you have the right gear.
