Classic British Sports upright-bar bikes also use 26-inch wheels, commonly with a bit wider rims than the club and racing models.
Of course, there were/are 26 x 1 3/8" wheels (590mm ISO) and 26 x 1 1/4" wheels (597mm ISO). Club-style bikes had the latter.
