I've learned that you can spend thousands upon thousands of dollars obtaining the lightest bike that requires the least possible amount of exertion to ride, and then say you HTFU'ed when you rode it.
I've learned that riding a bicycle on the road doesn't make you a roadie, but riding one in your basement does.
