I had a good solid but not overly heavy (comparatively) wellgo pedals with toe clips that I used to commute with. Nothing special, but certainly miles better than the sort of plastic platform pedals that you see on cheap bikes.

I think they were the 'M085' on this website, though I'm not 100% sure.
