Well, some were, many were alu front triangle with a bolted on steel rear triangle while others were all steel (Tange Prestige I think).
Really not a good way to build a bike frame. Lot's more cutting, mitreing & welding producing a lot of heat affected zones and a flexy design. Lot's of the elevated stay bikes broke.
The Yeti Ultimate was probably the best of the lot.
