They nearly did. Ok so it was my fault I forgot about it, but really, closing off the roads and killing my Sunday ride did not a happy kitty make. Actually what I found odd was that the road closure heading south was halfway between O'side and C'bad in the middle of the lagoon crossing. Ya. City planning at it's finest.
The route used to go down Grand in downtown Carlsbad but the store owners complained about losing business so they changed the route to do a U-turn at the lagoon crossing.
