Just though I'd share this as I think it's a pretty unique bike.
I had a chance to ride with one of the masters racers in my area, an ex-US national rider who regularly wins almost every race he enters. I talked to him and he attributes some of his success to his cornering ability and his bike. Indeed, this guy can easily put 3-4 bike lengths on you in one corner, simply because he can pedal through anything without hitting a pedal. Here's a picture of his bike. He does a couple things to "cheat", as he calls it. First, it's basically a track geometry. High bottom bracket. Shorter (track) cranks, single chainring and a track bb means a very small q-factor, therefore the cranks are less far out and less likely to strike. Also, he uses some kind of low-profile pedal. He said it is physically impossible for him to strike a pedal in a corner. The advantage is clear when you see him breaking away from the pack on the last lap, simply because the people chasing him can't pedal through the corners like he does. Definitely sounds like a big advantage to me.
