My normal commute takes me thru a county park. I look forward to this section of my commute as the ride is scenic and there is very little traffic since cars are prohibited from exiting at the other end (but bikes are not. This morning, I must have arrived a little earlier than normal because the gate at the park entrance was not open (park hours are normally dawn to dusk). I should also note that a county sherrif lives on site and I have to pass his living quarters as I exit the park and tresspassing signs are posted.

Should I have waited for the park to open?
