Hammer? I certainly hope not. I believe the first post said it is a no-drop ride, which is what I'm counting on.

I hadn't heard that. That would be a nice course. The inland part was always such a boring part of the race. I doubt it will lure me into another marathon though. 35 or so is enough for these knees
Hmmm, bad knees ... you need to come over to the dark side and take up racewalking!
(I am an instructor BTW). Just did 2 marathons in 2 weeks, no knee issues whatsoever.
