Excellent job on your 1000 ..........

You did a wonderful job bringing her up to snuff! I am also rebuilding a very clean 1981 Miyata 1000 I bought from a fellow in Rhode Island a few weeks ago.

I have her almost complete with just the front derailer, chain, handlebar tape and the brakes to install. I have the original brakes but have ordered a set of NOS Suntour XC Pro cantilevers for it and am waiting for them to arrive. I also replaced the original shifters with Shimano 600's. I'm about a week behind you. My bike is a 25" frame, I can't really tell if yours is a 23" or 25" by the photo's, but none the less, she is a real beauty.

Here are a few photos of mine, the two in the snow were taken at the prior owners home in Rhode Island. She now resides in Phoenix, AZ.

Cheers,

Bruce
