I thought the DA BBs are the same as Ultegra (and SL)?
Probably. I think the DA cups are polished, though.
Also, my experience is that external BBs don't spin nearly as well as old school square taper due to the seal drag.
I think my old square taper Campy Chorus BB (that I'm selling to MarkSLC as part of the whole set) is one of THE BEST spinning setups out there! But, since all of my other setups now are external, it made sense to make the switch and look for the least drag possible.
I feel like the Phil Wood bearings spin as well as my Chrous ST, fwiw. Just my $0.02. Perception is half the battle, right?
