I though the DA BBs are the same as Ultegra (and SL)?
Also, my experience is that external BBs don't spin nearly as well as old school square taper due to the seal drag.
If you're suggesting square taper bottom brackets aren't sealed, you're wrong. Apart from a few boutique track options, they all are.
