after living in England for a while, I gave up on my initial opinion of gun ownership being a good idea... they are so starved for murderous violence there that they include BB-guns in their gun crime stat numbers just to look tough.

I guess you are more likely to get stabbed in the ***** by some chavs wearing burberry tracksuits though, so it goes both ways.
