Hey guys this is my first post so if this has been discussed to death please don't flame me. I have an R800 that I bought last year and I am wanting to change the stock stem to a shorter one. I took my bros' Bontrager off his trek and it fit my steer tube but not my handle bars? I think my steer tube is a 1" and my bars are a 1 1/8" could this be? what size stem should I get. What does the demension refer to steer tube or handle bars?
