I think this co is related to bikesdirect.com which markets Motobecane bicycles. I think these guys must have bought the rights to the names of historically "big" named bike companies and are now acting as if they are the same companies. These are just generic bicycles, like Leader and Ibex. I doubt that there is anything wrong with them. In fact the components generally look pretty good on them. If it was between a department store bike and these, I'd choose any of these in a second.

That being said, one can often find a closeout last year's model of a name brand bike at the lbs for the same price with all the service advantages of buying local.

The warranty would only be useful in Houston where these co's have shops. Are you going to box up your broken bike and ship it for warranty work. Doubtful. Maybe for a broken frame, nothing else. And a broken frame is highly unlikely
