I don't know a lot about road bikes but i know the components at least. These bikes just about all have STI-sora. Many other inexpensive bikes like Raleigh and Fuji offer bikes that have the same components, yet sell for $300 more.

What is bad? The frame? Says cromoly, isn't cromoly.....cromoly? Are the wheels that much cheaper? Anyone own these inexpnesive Windsor or Motobecane Road bikes that sell on ebay. bikesdirect's feedback is great. Are people buying these that just dont know bikes?
It's a bottom of the barrel generic no name bike sold direct, to cut cost. Generic cromo is cromo, but there is straight gage and butted. The frame is likely made by someone else in Tiawan or China. At least with Fugi and some others you are dealing with a brand that has some long term history. But,I duno how you would fare with them on warranty if you bought one direct rather than thru a local dealer. Alot of people seem happy with Motobecanes bought direct. You can get more for you money, but at the expense of giving up local dealer support. No free lunch.
