Granted, it is not a 17 lb wonder like some you will see on this forum, but it rides fine when I am on it.
DenverFox also has one he uses as his bad weather/trainer bike and likes his also. If you are going to race competitively, this is probably not the bike for you. But, if you are going to ride centuries, family rides and pull the trail-a-bike, this may be the pefect bike for you, for the price! I have no regrets about buying from Bikesdirect..fast shipping, exactly as described. I have added a few things, and probably will continue to do so. I plan on buying a new frame in another year or so just for the weight reduction.

Very good info. Thank you. I am not sure how interested in road cycling I am. I just think i want a cheap bike to mix things up a bit. Last year i rode over 6000 miles on my two mountain bikes. I mainly ride them on gravel, dirt roads. I just thought i would get a cheap, decent road bike to mix things up a bit. I may love it or i may hate it. I don't know.
I do know that i don't want to spend a lot of $$ on something i don't know whether i will like or not.
