I own an 02 Motobecane Le Champion with Ultegra triple and Velomax circuit wheels. It's been a great bike for the money spent. I have over 2800 mile on it with no problems other than routine maintenance.
My only complaint is that the Kenisis alum frame is stiff - the comfort level a 5 out of possible 10 after 40 miles or so. I bought a Trek 5700 carbon fiber as a replacement about 6 months ago in hopes of finding more comfort but did not like the ride and sold it after about 300 miles. I am in the process of building up a Merlin Cielo at present in hopes of finding the perfect combination of ride comfort and handling - but I will keep my Le Champion as a spare and spinner.
